You will find lots of Golf Courses and Tennis Courts, Boat and Kayak Rentals or Tours, Diving, Parasailing, Beachvolleyball, Deepsea Fishing/Freashwater Fishing, Sailing, just to name a few of the endless sports and hobby possibilities. will not be able to snow ski.




Visit The Edison Ford Winter Estates, enjoy Sunsplash Waterpark, collect shells on Sanibel Island,  stroll along the water or catch some rays on one of our local, gorgeous Beaches oder shop 'til you drop at Miromar Outlets, Edison Mall or Tanger Outlets.

You can also catch a speed- shuttle boat to Key West fromFt. Myers Beach, or drive to the Everglades (for an Airboat Tour or Swamp Buggy Ride).

Let's not forget the Theme Parks in Tampa (@ 1.5 hrs driving) and Orlando (@ 2.5 driving) (Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, etc).

You can reach Miami in about 2 hrs driving and Cape Canaveral in about 3.5 hrs.




Vacation Home Checklist

checkbox Arrange for hurricane shutters to be installed when a tropical storm/hurricane watch or warning is in effect. Have shutters removed a few days after the storm/hurricane has departed.
checkbox Make sure all smoke alarms are working and have fresh batteries.
checkbox Place timers on indoor lamps.
checkbox Forward mail.
checkbox Place a temporary stop on newspaper delivery.
checkbox Place phone, cable, internet service, and vehicle on “vacation status."
checkbox Return library books, rented videos/DVDs.
checkbox Remove all furniture from lanai.
checkbox Wedge dowels in window tracks and sliding doors to prevent burglars from prying them open.
checkbox Open all interior doors, including closet doors, to promote airflow.
checkbox Set air conditioners/thermostats at 80º to prevent mold growth and humidistat should be at 40% - 60% relative humidity.
checkbox Discard all perishable items.
checkbox Fill jugs with tap water and place in refrigerator. A full refrigerator/freezer will use less energy than an empty one.
checkbox Pack all prescription drugs including “refrigerated drugs.”
checkbox Run hot water through your garbage disposal. Let it dry out. Pour 1 teaspoon vegetable oil into disposal. Do not run any water, but turn disposal on for a few seconds (to prevent impellers from getting stuck).
checkbox Unplug electrical appliances and computers (except refrigerators) susceptible to lightning and power outages.
checkbox Unplug or turn off circuit breaker to hot water heater to conserve energy.
checkbox Disconnect electric garage door opener to prevent burglars from entering.
checkbox Add 1 cup of bleach to toilet bowls to keep it clean.
checkbox Turn off main water valve, unless you have an automatic fire-sprinkler system. In that case, turn off the water valves to your washing machine, dishwasher, and toilets. Bleed excess water out of lines.
checkbox Ask a friend, neighbor, or homewatch company to check on your property every week while you are away. (Request that they remove their shoes while inspecting carpeted areas; if the carpets are wet, it will be easily detected.)
